Today my husband had to go to the dentist to get a bridge put back into his mouth. It fell out while he was eating an egg salad sandwich I had prepared for him. Yes, I removed the shells. Yes, I mashed the eggs. The problem may have been that the eggs were "hard"boiled. My husband is a sweetie who insists that the bridge must have already been loose. But you know I believe in full disclosure. You are reading a food blog written by a woman whose egg salad can crack a bridge. What does that say about the both of us? Please vote on my Christmas Cookie poll.
Actually, I am not a cookie baker. I could share a Christmas cookie horror story with you, but you may not want to read it before Christmas. If you want me to post it on this, or my other, blog, leave a comment here.
If you too have trouble baking cookies for Santa, go ahead and be creative. Leave something else for him to eat.
Man: That reminds me, I need to install better security software
What is your favorite Christmas cookie.
My Muses
The recipes I post on this blog come from television, the internet, church cookbooks, friends, family....I could have gotten it from anywhere, but I will always be upfront about where anywhere is.
From the comic strip "Hi and Lois"
A couple is sitting together at the dinner table
Woman: You said you got this recipe from a cooking show?
Man: No. I said I got it from a television program.
Woman: Oh....which one?
Man: The one with the talking dog and the evil baby.
I was a stay at home daughter. That was like a stay at home mom in reverse. My job was taking care of my ailing mom. Sometimes it was like being on vacation hanging out with my mom, and at other times I missed working for a paycheck with an actual job description and time away from my job. Now I just miss her.
Still waiting to figure out my new purpose.
I have a wonderful husband, and no children
